all healing is first a healing of the spirit
rooted in tradition, present in practice
philosophy
Healing unfolds through presence. When the body is met with steadiness, curiosity, and respect, its patterns begin to shift. Through touch, qi becomes perceptible — where it holds, where it lightens, where it opens — and treatment responds in ways that support that movement.
Treatment is held as a co-regulated experience. Change often arises not from technique alone, but from the quality of attention shared between practitioner and patient. This perspective shapes how modalities are chosen and how treatment is allowed to unfold.
This philosophy guides all care at Shape of Qi.
about eva huie, l.ac., lmt, cmt, clt, hhc
Eva Huie is an integrative practitioner rooted in East Asian medicine, bringing nearly two decades of clinical experience across acupuncture, lymphatic therapy, and therapeutic bodywork.
Her training includes a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine, certification as a lymphedema therapist through Klose Training in the Vodder method, and deep study in fascial release, intraoral work, and facial therapeutics. This breadth shapes a practice where modalities are not offered separately but woven together in response to what each patient brings.
Her work has a particular focus on the head, neck, and face — addressing both clinical concerns and aesthetic ones — and on the lymphatic system, approached through both biomedical and East Asian medicine frameworks.
Clients describe her sessions as precise, attentive, and quietly transformative.

professional collaboration
Good care rarely happens in isolation. Many patients benefit from a team of practitioners who communicate, complement each other's work, and share a genuine commitment to the whole person.
Shape of Qi is glad to connect — whether you have someone who may benefit from acupuncture, lymphatic massage, or therapeutic bodywork, or you're looking for a practitioner who works in a slow, attentive, body-led way. There is particular interest in building relationships with physical therapists, personal trainers, physicians, and surgeons who share these values.
If any of this resonates, reach out. Good collaborations often start with a simple hello.
